A longtime allergy practice with multiple locations in the Valley, has teamed up with a national company to bring new treatments to its patients.

Phoenix-based Allergy Associates and Asthma Ltd. (AAA), which has multiple locations in the Valley, has teamed up with a national company to bring new treatments to its patients.

The partnership will be the Arizona debut for Aspire Allergy & Sinus, which is based in Austin, Texas, and now has nearly 60 clinics in five states. The company is known for developing treatments such as allergy drops, ExACT Immunoplasty for environmental, household, and seasonal allergies, and oral immunotherapy for food allergies.

Allergy Associates has been in the Valley since 1971 and now serves about 7,000 patients at its Tempe, Mesa and Chandler locations.

Allergist Dr. Miriam Anand, the owner of AAA and also the current president of the Arizona Medical Association, will continue practicing along with three physician assistants and 10 staffers.

Anand said the partnership is good news for her practice’s patients, who will now have access to a wider array of treatments.

“This partnership will advance our mission of delivering innovative solutions to manage and relieve the allergy symptoms that thousands of our patients suffer from,” Anand said in a statement.

Aspire’s ExACT Immunoplasty is a procedure that introduces tiny amounts of allergens into a patient’s immune system through a lymph node to reduce allergy symptoms and bring long-term relief. Aspire also employs allergy drops and shot therapies that work in a similar way, taking longer to work but having less impact on lymph nodes.

Aspire founder Dr. Christopher Thompson said his company has been able to expand to new markets because of the popularity of those treatments.

“The unique treatments we have developed are giving patients a long-term solution to allergy, asthma, and sinus misery,” Thompson said in a statement. “We are proud to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Miriam Anand and remain dedicated to helping patients find relief.”
