HCA Healthcare’s (NYSE: HCA) Largo Medical Center has a new chief operating officer.

In his previous position, Wyatt Chocklett served as the COO of Doctors’ Hospital of Sarasota and led improvement of the patient experience, employee engagement, and the oversight and execution of construction projects.

"I look forward to assisting in the growth of hospital services so residents in the area will continue to find more reasons to make Largo Medical Center their hospital of choice,” said Chocklett in a release.

Chocklett began his career with HCA in 2011 as an implementation specialist, eventually becoming a management engineer.

In 2014, he became the assistant administrator at HCA’s TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee, where he headed up the design, construction and opening of the TriStar Natchez freestanding ER.

“Considering his commitment to patients as well as the success Wyatt has had in leading his colleagues through several initiatives, I am thrilled to have him on board and look forward to collaborating with him on many more,” said Adam Rudd, chief executive officer.
